This is the second major area of the level. As you can see it’s a snow area that definitely changes the feel of the game from the previous area. There are more caves in this section so that the player can experience them, even if they missed the first cave in the previous valley. There are drop offs to the side of the play area to give the player a sense of scale. One of my favorite areas on this map is the final cave. The player goes into a dark snowy cave and as they emerge, they find themselves in the grasslands. I’ve been told by players that this is one of their favorite moments because the strong dynamic change is handled well by the transition through the cave.
