Hazmat Harry

Hazmat Harry was the first prototype I produced in my master’s program. Our challenge was to create a game about a serious issue in PowerGame Factory. My team and I chose to make a side-scrolling game about pollution in which our hero, Hazmat Harry, cleaned up the city by picking up its trash and cleaning up oil-spewing cars. It was a great crash course in learning the ropes of game production and team dynamics.

Below is my first attempt at a backlog for game production. Looking at it almost two years later, I feel like it’s over generalized and broad. If anything, now that I can use tools like Hansoft, I can definitely say that I’ve come along ways from my first features backlog for a game.
